Attila Fias and his captivating quartet is bringing back his “New Jazz Standards” concert theme by request. They will perform Attila’s unique and exciting jazz arrangements of beloved classic rock, prog rock, pop, fusion, and R&B songs. Expect an alluring mix of nostalgia with an innovative fresh approach to these familiar tunes that will keep you grooving and singing along. It’s going to be funky, lyrical, sentimental, dynamic, energetic, and above all, fun!

The band will feature veteran drummer Mario Di Blasio visiting from Montreal, as well as great Victoria bassist Peter Dowse, who is also a former Montrealer. Barrie Sorensen of the Naden band will provide his musical and bold sax and flute work. Attila will be playing both the piano and his synthesizer to capture the iconic sounds of the era. The chemistry between these musicians is undeniable and the energy they have on stage is infectious. Come have a fantastic night out at Hermann’s and bring a friend, it’s going to be an enjoyable ride!

Attila Fias, a Hungarian-born, Toronto-raised platinum-selling pianist and composer who makes his home in Victoria BC, is renowned for seamlessly blending various genres of music with jazz. Recognized for his spectacular and pyrotechnic playing, critics also praise him as a lyrical piano interpreter breathing new life into others' works. He has performed on prestigious stages worldwide and collaborated with numerous internationally acclaimed musicians.
