About

The Pioneers

After managing to escape the deportations to louisiana, The Pioneers, a band of Acadian metis refugees, have managed to steal the hearts of many a coureur de bois. Their prolific and sensational sound has brought them success on many northern canadian tours (Nunavut and the Yukon).

"They smell of fish and pemmican."
-Rolling Stone

Look out for their upcoming cd: A Beaver Ate My Snowshoe, So I Sold It's Pelt to the Hudson's Bay Company.
