Arts Council of Ladysmith and District
Welcome to the Arts Council of Ladysmith and District Ladysmith. The Arts Council houses the Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery, a community volunteer run gallery located in the heart of Ladysmith, BC which received charity status a few months ago.
The Arts Council has a board of directors that are voted in at our AGM meeting in May and is run by volunteers from the community and surrounding area. The Arts Council's goal is to enhance the vitality of the artistic community through enrichment and developing the arts through education, exhibition and engagement. We provide a variety of classes that give the community an opportunity to express their creative side or to try something new. The gallery that we house, presents monthly exhibitions to provide education, and sense of place and support to local artists in and around the area. Overall the Arts Council is here to provide a safe and fun environment for the arts!
Our mandate is to Educate, Engage, Create, Communicate and Celebrate the Arts.
