Will Datené, born in Aachen, Germany in 1948, moved with his family to New York City when he was 10 years of age and has lived in Canada since 1968. It was in New York that he started his photography career as first assistant to two top fashion photographers. He also worked as a photographer for a commercial product photography studio. Will’s formal training was at The New School and in the BC Institute of Technology Photography Program.
