The Good Lovelies are one busy band, but they always seem to make time for stop in Kingston during the busy holiday season. Over the past 17 years, the JUNO Award-winning Toronto trio's Christmas performances have become a favourite holiday tradition for many Canadians.
This December, Kerri Ough, Sue Passmore, and Caroline Marie Brooks, collectively The Good Lovelies, return to Kingston as KPP Concerts presents their annual holiday-themed show at The Isabel Bader Centre on the 16th (

"In that time, we've been unknowingly (and knowingly) building a massive repertoire of wintery, Christmassy and seasonal songs as well as writing many of our own," the band told Kingston Live. "The show itself brings a bigger band to the stage, with upright bass, piano and drums supporting the original trio on their guitars, banjo, and ukulele.
Throughout their Christmas tour, The Good Lovelies will be joined by surprise special guests on stage to help perform a gorgeous and varied set of songs and sing-a-longs.
"The Christmas show is full of joy, singalongs, but not only that," they explained. "Our mission since we started touring is to leave our audiences feeling better than when they arrived. Music is healing, music is whimsy, music when sung together is unlike anything else."
The Good Lovelies have been on tour steadily sine October following the release of their new album, We Will Never Be The Same, a powerful collection of songs that explore the entry into the second act of life. The current single, Tip to Toe, was recently released as an animated music video.
Bandmates Kerri, Sue and Caroline have played well over a thousand shows and written and recorded over 10 albums in the seventeen years together. "Our recorded music is important and very special to us, but the songs, stories and banter of our live show is what it's all about," they explained. "Being in a room together, and feeling that electricity between the audience and performers!"
Doors open at 7 pm on December 16 at The Isabel, and the The Good Lovelies will hit the stage at 8 pm. Advance tickets are $41.55 each and can be purchased online by following the links here:
