"Grizzly bears need an extremely large home range to thrive of up to 500 square miles, which includes varied forests, grasslands and lush meadows in or near mountains. Sadly, the effects of human development is the greatest threat to Grizzly bears in British Columbia with habitat loss, high traffic volumes and increasing conflicts between bears and humans all taking their toll."
