Spring Art Tour

Rules for entering the tour:
The tour will include Chemainus, Ladysmith and Cedar Yellow Point. There is limited space available.

1. Only members in good standing of the Arts Council of Ladysmith may participate in the Tour. Memberships can be purchased on line at http://www.ladysmithwaterfrontgallery.com/memberships

2. Payment for the annual tour is due from members no later than January 17; no late entries. The fee will be non-refundable unless the participant has a medical or family emergency. For this fee, tour participants will benefit from local calendar listings, media advertising, posters, flyers and a color brochure with a map, inclusion on the website (featuring all participants), and directional signs. Fees and application requirements for the Tour are set by the Board of Directors and are reviewed annually.

3. All artwork must be submitted for the Brochure on or before January 17th. You must submit one clear photo in jpeg format 300 dpi or more, Your name: Your Address: Your phone number: Your website: 15-20 concise words or less that describe your business, and let us know if you are wheel chair friendly, do you have bathrooms, demos, do you take credit cards & debit.

4. Tour participation is initially determined by being juried into the tour if your work is unknown to the Arts Council.

5. Tour members must provide a safe environment for visitors, sidewalks clear and safe, handrails secure where required, and pets securely put away during the tour.

6. Tour applicants must have a studio or work place to exhibit in and may share studio space with another participant. A tour participant may invite other artist(s) to share their studio for the tour. for a $40.00/artist additional fee each. An invited artist must follow all Art Council guidelines and must be a member of the arts council and pay of tour fees by January 17th, the guest artists much be available to the public during the entire tour.

7. An indemnification must be signed and delivered at the same time as payment - January 17th, You will not be included in the tour without an indemnification form.

8. Each artist is required to help with advertising such as Facebooking, sharing Facebook Pages, putting up posters and distributing Brochures and inviting their customers on the tour.

9. It is wise to check your insurance policy to be sure you are covered for the tour.
