At 4500 square feet, the Wilkinson Studio Theatre is possibly the largest studio theatre in Canada. Equipped with versatile lighting and current sound technology, this theatre is the teaching and performing space for Shawnigan Lake School, Canada's foremost boarding school. The acting area and audience seating may change according to the design for each play or event. Seating may be limited to 240 on raked risers or expanded to fit the whole school community for an assembly with a raised stage at the south end. The lower level includes dressing rooms, offices, rehearsal space, costume and prop storage, and an 1100 sq. ft. set shop.
