…the Six String Nation is at the heart of the movement
connecting people from all regions of Canada
through music and by sharing our stories.
The guitar is made of more than 60 pieces
that are significant aspects of history
and heritage from different cultures,
communities and characters
from across the country –
including one of Pierre Trudeau's canoe paddles,
the top of Paul Henderson's stick from the '72 Summit Series,
Lucy Maud Montgomery's house,
John Ware's cabin, a seat from Massey Hall,
the Bluenose II, Maurice Richard's 1955/56 Stanley Cup ring,
Louis Riel's schoolhouse and the legendary Golden Spruce of Haida-Gwaii.
