The Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives collects, preserves, researches, and presents the history of the Cowichan Valley. Our full-service community museum, located in Duncan’s heritage designated 1912 Railway Station, houses permanent exhibits illustrating stories from the diverse communities of the valley, including First Nations and Asian Canadian history. Changing exhibits explore contemporary and historical topics such as the rehabilitation of the Kinsol Trestle, copper mining on Mt. Sicker, and Cowichan Sweaters. School, public, and outreach programming are offered year round.

The Cowichan Valley Museum & Archives holds full institutional membership to the Archives Association of BC. The museum is a member of the Canadian Museums Association, the British Columbia Museums Association, Heritage BC, and the BC Historical Federation.
