Hello - I’m Cheryl Painter and yes, “Painter” really is my last name! From an early age and perhaps due to artistic genes, a career as an artist always seemed to be in the cards for me. Originally from North Vancouver, where I served as President of the North Shore Artists’ Guild, I recently moved with my family to the Cowichan Valley. If you’ve ever been to this stunningly beautiful neck of the woods, you’ll know how it might provide an artist with a vast kaleidoscope of subject matter.
The Cowichan Valley Regional District is a broad geographic region stretching from the Malahat to North Oyster and from the Cowichan Lake to Thetis Island.
The region's artists are represented by 5 sub-regional arts councils with support from the CVRD Arts and Culture Division
