CVRD - Cowichan Lake Recreation owns and operates 5 facilities in 4 different communities around Cowichan Lake. Four of these facilities are community halls and one contains a bowling alley. Each of the halls has at least one stage and has been used for performances by theatre groups and live bands. Youbou Community Hall and Bowling Alley are located on the north side of the Lake. The Hall has two floors, with 4000 square feet of capacity. The Upper Floor is designed as a banquet facility for over 100 people, with a complete kitchen. The Lower Hall, which can accommodate up to 300 people, features a gymnasium, a stage and a bar facility. This venue is designed to host sports events, meetings, private functions and public gatherings.
