highcountry #2

30x48 inches
This is the second one of this scene I have painted. The inspiration of this painting came from a few of many of our favourite places, fused all together to create this scene.
It’s spring, the morning sun is just coming through the mountains and the snow is on the melt . The alpine stream runs full and cold from spring thaw . Some alpine meadow grass is up while others still wait under shaded snow covered areas. Sub alpine wild flowers still wait a little longer. Snow is melting a little quicker around the rocks as they tend to hold the welcomed warmth from the sun.
Completing the scene is a single female Grizzly bear not long out of winter den, wandering through with no cubs.
Sized at 30 inches x 48 inches, acrylic on canvas, original art which is available for purchase.
