The Art of Walking

The Art of Walking

The Art of Walking: A mini group residency
With Lacey McRae Williams

Clear your mind & get outdoors!
A great way to combine the arts and nature
Open to all ages, beginner - intermediate.

A series of themed walks in varied landscapes of Ladysmith & District will encourage the 'walker' to pay attention to their immediate environment in a way they have never before. Gently curated, the group will reference poetry, storytelling, archival photos and even silent meditation and explore ways of making through collection, sketching, photography, etc. Bring any tools you wish to assist you on your creative endeavor. The walks will be 1.5 to 2 hours in length followed by a 1 hour studio session in the classroom at the Ladysmith Arts Centre.

Upcoming classes: Sunday March 24th and/or Sunday April 14th
$15 per session
Register through Ladysmith Parks, Recreation & Culture at 250.245.6424
